You’ve got 15- 30 seconds in your elevator pitch to win attention from your target client. If you do it well, you can get a second meeting. If you do it poorly, you won’t get a second chance.
To give a great elevator speech, be passionate and connect with your audience.
Share Your Passion
Share your story. Be enthusiastic about your research, findings and solutions. Think of this as a time to showcase your passion as a magnet to attract interest.
No one really wants to hear boring news or dull stories. Tell a story that instantly reflects why you are on fire.
Watch The Results
While you are passionately going on about yourself, your business or your product, watch your client. Don’t just go on automatic. Watch out for getting swept up in your own enthusiasm for your topic. It is important to be passionate - but don’t get lost.

Engage In Conversation
You re not talking to a wall. You are talking to a living person. Be sure to engage him or her. Ask a question. Share a metaphor. Adapt your story to match the interests and needs of the person with whom you are speaking.
Questions do not need to be complex. Speak as if you were talking with your best friend. Ask common sense questions. Share a personal story. Show that you are listening to their answers.
Find out what matters most to the person you are pitching. If you haven’t found the ‘hot button’ for the person listening, then you are better off talking to the wall.
Share your passion. Watch and listen. Engage with conversation and questions. Do these few things and you can succeed in giving effective elevator pitches.
