At the entire presentation level: Do I need so many slides?
At the section level: Do I need every slide in this section?
At the slide level: Do I need this slide?
At the content level: Could I say this with fewer words?

In just about every situation, your audience will appreciate that you care about being brief. It shows respect. That you value their time.
