Let the next meeting be online!

Let the next meeting be online should be our motto! Considering the fact that most of the senior management spends more than 50% of their time in meetings and the middle management almost two out of every five days in a meeting, it is imperative that you optimize on the meetings conducted. How do you optimize the time you spend on meetings?

It is true that meetings cannot be wished away, just like that. It is also true that meetings are a way of life for many of us. It has come to be part and parcel of our daily activity. If someone wants to be a success, let them better be good at attending meetings. That is possibly the reason why you should consider using online meetings. This is simply the way the world is going and the way you should also be going.

Online meetings save lots of time. It is not by itself a savior on the amount of time a professional spends on meetings. However, it would reduce the time one spends on meetings. The amount of time you and I might end up spending on meetings could go down considerably if you are using online meetings. But at the same time, there could also be an increase in the number of meetings that you are attending simply because it is much easier to organize meetings with these online methods.

Considering also the fact that online meetings can be conducted right from every participant’s desk and there is hardly any reason why one should move out of it, there is a great reason to switch to online meetings. You also do not occupy a meeting room for hours when you go online. One more reason, why you should take it up with the management and usher in online meetings!

Finally, there is the most important reason for the switch! It makes economical sense to move out of the regular physical meetings and start having online meetings. There is great saving of money from all quarters starting from the availability of person to travel, fuel and of course, the immense saving of time! Do not be surprised if your boss asks you, why no body ever thought of this before! Very true and it is also true that if you do not recommend the switching over to online, some one else would!

Let the next meeting be online!
