It is very easy for any of us to picture this: a huge room which is quite comfortable with the right kind of lighting and ventilation. A room that is big enough to hold at least 250 people at one time. All those present have a very clear view of the dais and the people on it. They also have access to the huge screen that is positioned in such a way that everybody is able to get a p[roper look at it. The meeting is being held after lunch. Though it is a working lunch that is fairly light, you do feel like nodding off a bit, the proverbial forty winks, beckoning you. In a situation like this, what do you do? One keeps trying to fight sleep and fatigue, most of the time failing miserably. If this is the case with a live meeting, just imagine what web conferences could do to you? Do you really think that you could keep awake and more importantly, keep track of what various people are saying in other place, far removed from you and your team? This is certainly an issue that needs to be debated upon.

I can think of a million reasons why web conferences could be the answer to many problems. They not only help you save on a lot of money, but they are a lot easier to set up and execute. Instead of getting in touch with all those who need to attend the meeting, to find out whether or not they are going to be available, all you need to do is put together the information that you have on their availability and work schedules. Once you have collated all this, you could arrive at a date where people could be at their workstations and still be a part of the many web conferences that you plan for a particular period of time. It is necessary to have these conferences or seminars on a regular basis for various reasons. The main reason why these are necessary is that they ensure the regular working of the concern on more than one level. The workings of the concern are not just reviewed, but corrective action can also be taken if necessary.

Since all such web conferences are recorded it is also quite easy to keep track of what was said and therefore assign and manage accountability for all commitments made. This is probably one of the main reasons why more and more firms are going in for such meetings and web conferences now.
