In our global market, you have to ask yourself the tough question,” is your message transferable?
Will it work with an international audience?
Will it work with an audience that does not speak English?
Will it work with an audience that has a different education level?
If you work in any business that cuts across boundaries…from hospitality to service to sales…you have to ask yourself these questions.
Prepare your presentation to be easily adaptable to different audiences. Organize your slides so that your images appeal to a diverse population.
Watch out especially if you are using very culturally centric stories or metaphors. From baseball to American holidays–these stories may not hit home for your diverse audiences.
Your fastest way to check this is to practice your presentation for different audiences. Try it out for someone from a different company, a different gender or who speaks a different language.
